Abd al-Masih Haddad

Abd al-Masih Haddad was a Syrian-American writer and spokesman of the New York Penn League.

He was born in 1890 in Homs, Syria, and is of Syrian and Greek descent. In 1907 he immigrated to New York, and in 1912 he founded his first magazine, As-Sayeh (The Traveler). It presented works from Mahjari writers and literary figures. 

Abd moved on to co-found the New York Penn League, an Arabic literary society, in 1920.
