Alaa Abdelnaby

Alaa Abdelnaby is an Egypt American basketball broadcaster and analyst as well as a retired professional basketball player. 

He was born on June 24th, 1968, in Alexandria, Egypt, and has played as a power-forward and center for multiple NBA teams throughout five seasons and currently serves as a color commentator for the Philadelphia 76ers and the CBS Sports Network.

Before his rise to fame, Alaa received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Duke University. 

Throughout his career, Alaa has played for a total of nine teams across numerous leagues, leaving his mark on the NBA, the CBA, and both the French and Greek 2nd-tier professional basketball leagues. He is also the first Egyptian man to have ever played in the NBA.
