Alec Gores is an Lebanese American businessman whose company, The Gores Group, performs leveraged buyouts of technology firms.
He was born in the year 1953 and he is of Greek and Lebanese descent. Alec’s Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) have orchestrated mergers that have made Luminar Technologies, United Wholesale Mortgage, and Twinkie-maker Hostess Brands public. He is most well known for founding private equity firm The Gores Group in 1987.
Before his rise to fame, Alec received his Bachelor of Computer Science Degree from Western Michigan University. Throughout his career, Alec has been on the Forbes 400 List and the Forbes Billionaires List. He is currently one of the top ten wealthiest Greeks in the world.
