Arwa Damon is a Syrian American journalist who is a senior international correspondent for CNN.
She was born on September 19, 1977, in Boston, and is of Syrian descent. She began covering the Middle East as a freelance journalist in 2003, before joining CNN in 2006.
As one of the network’s Middle East specialists, Damon frequently reports from conflict zones across the Middle East and North Africa region, often focusing her work on humanitarian stories.
