Darin LaHood

Darin LaHood is a Lebanese German American attorney and politician. 

He was born on July 5, 1969, in Peoria, Illinois, and is of Lebanese and German descent. Darin has served as a prosecutor for Tazewell County and for the United States Attorney’s office in Nevada; additionally, he has been serving in the U.S. House of Representatives for Illinois since 2015.

Before his rise to fame, Darin received a B.A. from Loras College and his J.D. from the John Marshall Law School.

Throughout his career, Darin has been selected as an Edgar Fellow, has been recognized as a 40 Leaders Under Forty award winner in Peoria, and has completed five marathons.
