Darrell Edward Issa is a Lebanese American businessman and politician.
He was born on November 1, 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio and he is of Lebanese descent. Darrell has served as the US representative for California’s 50th congressional district since 2021 as a member of the Republican party, previously served in the US House of Representatives from 2001 to 2019, and served as the CEO and founder of Directed Electronics.
Before his rise to fame, Darrell majored in business administration at Siena Heights University, completed the degree at Kent State University, and also served as a second lieutenant and captain in the Army Reserve.
Throughout his career, Darrell has served as the CEO of Greene Properties, Inc., is partner in 17 limited partnerships and limited liability companies (LLCs), was awarded the Good Government Award by the Project on Government Oversight for his contributions to government oversight and transparency, and was featured as one of TechCrunch’s 20 Most Innovative People in Democracy.
