David Yazbek

David Yazbek is a Lebanese American musician, composer, lyricist, and writer.

He was born in 1961 in New York City, New York, and is of Lebanese descent. David has composed five full rock and pop albums, and he has composed the music and lyrics for five Broadway shows such as Tootsie, The Full Monty, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He has also written for a variety of film and television shows, including comedy writing for The Letterman Show.

Before his rise to fame, David received his Bachelor of Art from Brown University.

Throughout his career, David received nine awards out of 22 nominations, including an Emmy for Outstanding Writing on Late Night with David Letterman, a Tony award, and multiple Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Music and Lyrics.
