Ed Farhat

Ed Farhat, also known by his ring name The Sheik, was a Lebanese American professional wrestler.

He was born on June 7, 1926, in Lansing, Michigan, and he is of Lebanese descent.

Before he became a pro wrestler, Ed served in the United States Army during World War II. During his professional wrestling career, Ed quickly became known for his wrestling gimmicks as The Sheik. Ed is also known for his undefeated streak of 127 matches which took place in Maple Leaf Gardens starting in 1969.

Throughout his career, Ed won over a dozen NWA Heavyweight Championships, as well as 2 awards under the All Japan Pro Wrestling organization and 2 WWWF USA Heavyweight Championships. He was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in 2011, as well as the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
