Karim Rashid

Karim Rashid is an Egyptian American designer. 

He was born on September 18, 1960 in Cairo, Egypt, and has created designs for a number of high-profile companies, such as Samsung, Citibank, and Sony Ericsson. 

Before his rise to popularity, Karim received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Carleton University in 1982. 

Throughout his career, Karim has worked as a designer in fashion, interior, and furniture, and has worked as an interior designer for popular locations such as the Morimoto restaurant in Philadelphia, the Semiramis hotel in Athens, and the Nhow hotel in Berlin. Karim is the recipient of numerous awards, such as the Red Dot Award and the IDSA Industrial Design Excellence award.
