Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr.

Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. is a Syrian American academic administrator, businessman, and former politician.

He was born on April 7, 1949, in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, and is of Syrian descent. Mitchell has served as chief political advisor and liaison for President Ronald Reagan, CEO of Eli Lilly and Company, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, and the 49th Governor of Indiana. He is currently the 12th President of Purdue University. 

Before his rise to fame, Mitchell received his Bachelor’s Degree from Princeton University, and his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University.

Throughout his career, Mitchell received a variety of awards and accolades, including a place on Fortune Magazine’s Top 50 World Leaders, recognition as a Living Legend by the Indiana Historical Society, the Woodrow Wilson Award, the Bradley Prize, and the Savas Award.
