Naseer H. Aruri

Naseer H. Aruri was a Palestinian American scholar-activist and expert on Middle East politics, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, and human rights. 

He was born on January 7th, 1934 in Jerusalem and was Chancellor Professor of Political Science, having served on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth from 1965-1998.

Prior to fame, Aruri attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and earned his Bachelor’s in Art History. 

Although he passed from Parkinson’s disease, Aruri earned the “Distinguished Research Award” a few months beforehand.
