Nick Joe Rahall II

Nick Joe Rahall II is a former Lebanese American politician.

He was born on May 20, 1949, in Beckley, West Virginia, and is of Lebanese descent. Nick has served in the House of Representatives, and was a ranking member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, as well as the chair of the Committee on Natural Resources. 

Before his rise to fame, Nick received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Duke University. He also attended graduate school at George Washington University but did not complete his degree.

Throughout his career, Nick received the Kahlil Gibran Spirit of Humanity Award and a Truman Award. He also holds the distinction as the longest-serving member of the House from that state of West Virginia.
