Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul is a Syrian American singer, dancer, actress.

She was born on June 19, 1962, in San Fernando, California, and is of Syrian descent. Paula started her career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers and later served as the head choreographer for the Laker Girls. She also choreographed music videos for Janet Jackson, came out with numerous albums such as Forever Your Girl, and served as an original judge on American Idol for 7 years. 

Before her rise to fame, Paula studied broadcasting at California State University. 

Throughout her career, Paula received many awards including a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, and MTV Video Music Awards.
