Ray Hanania

Ray Hanania is a Palestinian American journalist.

He was born on April 17, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, and is of Palestinian descent. Ray has written political analysis for a variety of newspapers, including The Daily Southtown, Chicago Sun-Times, Arab News, and Suburban Chicagoland. He also has hosted a number of radio shows, and he has authored seven books. 

Before his rise to fame, Ray attended the University of Illinois. After serving in the Vietnam war, he received his degree from Northern Illinois University.

Throughout his career, Ray received numerous awards for his writing, including four SPJ Peter Lisagor awards, the SPJ National Sigma Delta Chi Award, the first National Ethnic Media Award, three American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee awards, and was nominated for a Pulitzer.
