Sam Yagan

Sam Yagan is a Syrian American internet entrepreneur who notably co-founded OkCupid and SparkNotes. 

He was born on April, 10, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois and helped create SparkNotes, eDonkey, OkCupid, Excelerate Labs, Match.com, and Shoprunner. 

Before his rise to fame, Sam received his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University. 

Throughout his career, Sam has received distinction as a Siebel Scholar, an Arjay Miller Scholar, and the Henry Ford Scholar. He has also been listed as one of TIME Magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in the World,” Fortune Magazine’s “40 Under 40,” and Crain’s “40 Under 40” in Chicago.
