Samih K. Farsoun was a Palestinian Professor Emeritus of sociology at American University, where he taught for thirty years until his retirement in 2003.
He graduated from Hamilton College, New York and received a master’s degree in 1961 and a PhD in 1971, both in sociology from the University of Connecticut.
