Stephen Said

Stephen Said is an Iraqi American singer-songwriter, rapper, writer, and global activist.

He was born on May 30, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio, and he is of Iraqi descent. Stephen is well known for his solid, heartland-rocker approach to music and his activism and his protest songs.

Before his rise to fame, Stephen studied at St. Christopher’s School and earned his Master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs at The New School.

Throughout his career, Stephen has been featured in Time Magazine, The New York Times, the New Yorker, NPR, PRI, BBC, The Village Voice, and more.
