Thomas J. Barrack, Jr. is a Lebanese American private equity real estate investor.

He was born on April 28, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, and is of Lebanese descent. Thomas is known for his position as CEO of Colony Capital and his service as Deputy Undersecretary of the United States Department of the Interior.

Before his rise to fame, Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California.

Throughout his career, Thomas developed a firm that now manages $34 billion in assets, including $18 billion in 16 distressed debt-focused funds and commercial real estate.
