Tom Shadyac

Tom Shadyac is a Lebanese American author and director. 

He was born on December 11, 1958, in Falls Church, Virginia, and he is of Lebanese descent. Tom has directed a number of films, including Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Nutty Professor, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty, and Patch Adams. 

Before his rise to fame, Tom received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia, and his Masters in Film from UCLA.

Throughout his career, Tom received four awards, including a Cleveland International Film Festival Award, a Humanitas Documentary Prize, an LA Film Festival Award, and a New Media Film Festival Award, and he was the youngest ever staff joke writer for Bob Hope.
